Update: The DIG-CXXX
has now been tested and verified to work with Kenwood Music Keg
MP3 audio systems. A simple 5 minute procedure is all that is needed
to enable the DIG-CXXXX to provide pristine S/PDIF digital audio
through Coaxial or TOSlink interfaces.
By using digital signals, your music will be less susceptible to
interference picked up in ordinary analog cables. What's more, by
using a digital interface, your music can be converted from the
digital format that all digital audio files such as MP3s are in
to analog by much higher quality external circuitry than is present
on the MP3 player's own circuitry. Depending on the converter used,
your analog output levels can now more closely match the levels
of other audio equipment in your system. Use a quality digital to
analog converter and you won't be disappointed.
No expense has been spared in the design. Gold plated connectors
abound. Unlike most computer sound cards, the DIG-CXXXX is equipped
with an isolation transformer to eliminate the possibility of distracting
ground loops from appearing in your music.
